So this is my blog. Starting one was one of my New Year’s resolutions, the others being to go to college and to do exercise regularly. I decided the other day that I’m going to aim for 90% attendance this semester, which is definitely double what I did for the first semester.

I don’t really know what I [plan to say in these things. I guess I’m hoping it will be something like a diary, though not deeply personal, just something to track what I’ve been doing and my thoughts on various things. Hopefully this  won’t be something I just forget about in a few weeks or even a few days, which is something I’m prone to doing.

Hopefully at least one person will read this! Any form of a viewership would inspire me to keep this going.

So, it’s 2010. I always find new years a bit strange, I think it’s because I can see how transient the world is because every year seems to go quicker than the last. I mean, already I’ve had 12 weeks of college. It seems like only yesterday that I was doing my leaving cert, or that I got my results. It’s weird.

I’m really looking forward to the coming year and what it will have in store for me. Last summer I had intended to go to loads of gigs, but I only went to Oxegen and ACDC. I had intended to go to many more than that. This year will be different! I already have a ticket for Pearl Jam in Belfast, which I can’t wait for. I’ll also be seeing ASIWYFA, Fionn Regan and 65daysofstatic in Cork before the summer. Then in the summer, apparently Them Crooked Vultures are going on tour, I’d love to see them!  I really want to see Elbow as well. I’m a bit disappointed I missed them at Oxegen. I’ve also been considering going to a festival. I don’t know which one or where. I might go to Europe. Though, it’s most lkikely that I’ll go to Picnic. Oxegen would want to be pretty special for me to go again. I might get a day ticket. I’ll see.

As I write this, I’m listening to The Beatles. I was just in that kind of mood today. In general, I’m listening to lots Elbow, Radiohead and Pearl Jam. I got loads of CDs in HMV in the sales. Also, I got a really nice classical CD from a composer called Arvo Pärt, which I’m really loving.

So that’s it for today. Hopefully I’ll get into the swing of this and I can be a bit more interesting.
